Anyway, I just had the best week with my boyfriend - he came to Tokyo to see me (♥!!) and we just generally did lots of sightseeing and eating Japanese food and had the best time. We went to Yokohama, a well known 'date spot' in Tokyo, and went on the giant ferris wheel, which would have been nice if I hadn't insisted on sitting on opposite sides as to balance the weight and gripping onto the seat like my life depended on it. Booth after booth there were couples sitting snuggled up (plus the occasional businessman by himself...bit weird...), so quite frankly if you are single I'd avoid Yokohama like the plague, unless you are feeling particularly suicidal. I also forced the bf to do a Purikura, which was a pretty amusing experience. Watching one of the main male figures in your life decorate a picture with hearts and sparkles is something no girl should ever miss.
I've been in Tokyo around 2 months now, and I can honestly say I'm still loving every day! My only big worry is that I'm not studying anywhere as near as much as I should be. The Leeds-set exam that we have to do in April is a frankly terrifying prospect; I'm already having nightmares about that one! I'm just trying to make the most of everything whilst I'm here though, and if that means going out and not getting back until 7am, then sleeping the entire day instead of learning kanji...well that's a sacrifice I suppose I'll have to make ;)
